COURSE DETAILS

Attendees can develop a skillset that’s in demand worldwide—and empower their enterprises to succeed in a disruptive marketplace—when they become a SAFe® Agilist (SA). During this two-day course, they’ll learn the principles and practices of the Scaled Agile Framework® (SAFe®), how to execute and release value through Agile Release Trains, and what it means to lead a Lean-Agile transformation at enterprise scale.

Attendees will gain an understanding of the Lean-Agile mindset and why it’s so effective in today’s adapt-or-die marketplace. They’ll also get practical advice on supporting Agile teams and programs, empowering a Lean Portfolio, building a continuous delivery pipeline and DevOps culture, and coordinating large solutions.

OBJECTIVES
To perform the role of a SAFe® Agilist, attendees should be able to:

  • Apply SAFe to scale Lean and Agile development in the enterprise
  • Recognize and apply a Lean-Agile Mindset and principles
  • Continuously explore, integrate, deploy, and release value
  • Empower with a Lean Portfolio
  • Coordinate the development of large solutions
  • Enhance their Lean-Agile leadership skills

DELIVERY MODEL
This training program would be delivered as an on-site, instructor led program that would be conducted at client premises exclusively for the client team.The course is a mix of case driven, instructor-led, and self-paced learning, designed to enable participants learn, experiment and implement the concepts involving the defect prevention models & practices. The participants will be presented with ample examples, exercises and case studies to understand and apply the concepts taught.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
The client should be able to provide the following elements for the training:

  • Conference Hall to seat the participants
  • LCD Projector for projection
  • Two White boards
  • Course Material copies to all the participants
  • Provide required software licenses as required for the conduct of the course

QAI RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Faculty Member for the training program
  • Master copy of the course notes [Hard Copy Format]
  • Case Study Copies
  • Course Handouts, if any

WHAT WILL ATTENDEES GET?
The class registration includes:

  • Attendee workbook
  • Preparation and eligibility to take the SAFe® 4 Agilist exam
  • One-year membership to the SAFe Community Platform
  • Course certificate of completion

Attendees must attend both days of the course to be eligible for the exam.
Attendees who pass the exam will receive:

  • A SAFe Agilist certificate
  • One-year certified membership as a SAFe Agilist
  • SAFe Agilist branding kit with the SA certification mark

PRE-REQUISITES
All are welcome to attend the course, regardless of experience. However, the following prerequisites are highly recommended for those who intend to take the SAFe® 4 Agilist (SA) certification exam:

  • 5+ years’ experience in software development, testing, business analysis, product, or project management.
  • Experience in Scrum.

EXAM INFORMATION

  • Access to take the exam will be emailed to attendees from Scaled Agile directly. Attendees have 30 days to take the exam.
  • Exam is closed book, web-based, and timed (90 minutes).
  • A score of 76% is needed to pass (34 out of 45). Results are automatically received when exam is submitted. Printable certificates available.
  • First exam attempt is included as part of the course tuition if the exam is taken within 30 days of course completion. Each retake attempt costs $50.
